St. Sargis Church

Historical Introduction

According to a record, in 1813 the church of Hakhveran was a structure of unburnt brick.

It was also mentioned in 1875 and in 1890, when a visitor described it as a church of unburnt brick with a wooden roof and also reported its name, St. Sargis.

In 2011 the locals could not even remember the site of the church that had been annihilated a long time before.
