Historical Introduction
1930 y․

Karmir Vank was levelled with the ground in the 1930s, its stones serving as building material for a cattle-shed situated about 100 metres north of it.

1980 y․

By 1980 only some remnants of its main walls had survived suggesting that the monument had been either a tri-nave or a quadri-nave structure, most presumably, dating back to the period between the 6th and 7th centuries.
