Location

The village lies within 2 kilometres of the left bank of the river Gandzak, 16 kilometres northwest of Gandzak City, within 27 kilometres of the district centre in the same direction, at an altitude of 190 to 200 metres above sea level.

Historical Introduction

Before the 1870s, its site served as a winter encampment for some cattle-breeders who gradually shifted to a sedentary life and founded a settlement there.
