Location

The village is situated on the right bank of the river Shamkor, 12 kilometres north-east of the district centre, at an altitude of 250 to 275 metres above sea level.

Historical Introduction
17 c․

Taknali had a sedentary population of Shiah Muslims in the 17th century.

It belonged to landowner Musakhan Shamkhorski together with the villages of Dallyar, Okhchulu and Jeyranchyol in the late 19th century.
