Location

The village extends in the area between Metz and Pokr Gharamurat, 15 kilometres west of the district centre, at an altitude of 1,270 to 1,300 metres above sea level.

The present-day Turkish village, dating back to the early 20th century, was founded in the site of an ancient abandoned Armenian village.
