Location

The ancient site of Aghkhachi Gah, called after a mountain summit (1,473 metres¤ of the same name, is located 2.5 kilometres north-west of Banants.

‘Aghkhach’ is the Armenian equivalent for ‘White Cross,’ and ‘Gah’ is that for ‘Throne.’ Karapetian, Samvel. Northern Artsakh, Yerevan, 2007, p. 139.
