Description

The ruins of Hoghaberd (‘Topragh Ghala’ in Turkish) are preserved on a hill rising on the right bank of the river Kur, a kilometre north-east of the village: “The top of the hill represents an area of fine surface where different pitchers, old rifles as well as copper articles and earthenware were discovered. About forty years ago, six jugs, full of Arabic and Persian coins, were unearthed there.”
