Description

Kamalian goes on saying, “The Turks also refer to Azizants Village by the names of Azizlu, or Zada, but the Armenians call it Azazandz. The local people refer to Kalantar’s family, now dwelling in Shulaver, by the name of Ezank, or Ezants: is it not a version of the word of Azizank? The inhabitants of Shulaver shorten Azizamia for Zamia in their curses. Probably, the ancestors of Kalantar’s family emigrated from Azizants or Azizlu Village, or perhaps, they had a prominent relative named Aziz, for they were commonly referred to as fair-haired Aziz’s family...”
