Nerkin Aghkyorpi Village Site

Location

An old ruined settlement is preserved on the left river bank barely 100 m north-west of the bridge.

In the late 19th century, it was a small Kurdish village named Lower Aghkorpi (“White Bridge"). The upper village of identical name was situated at the same river bank, 2.5 km up the river course. It was abandoned during the Soviet period. The historical names of these villages are lost.
