1903 y․

By 1903 it had reached such a deplorable state of decrepitude that Ghado was included in the list of the villages of the district having no churches at all.

The earthquake of 19 December 1899 inflicted considerable damage upon the monument.

Nowadays St. Grigor Narekatsy (exterior dimensions: 17.35 x 10.18 metres) is preserved standing.

The entrance tympanum of the church is engraved with a four-line inscription:
