The chapel of Khelpants Khach, a vaulted building of undressed stone and mortar dating from the 18th century, is located in the centre of the village. Its walls bear some khachkars and fragments of other cross-stones, one of which is remarkable for a relief representing the Crucifixion (1556).

‘Khelpants’ is the name of the Khalapiants’ family, distorted in the village dialect. ‘Khach’ is the Armenian equivalent for ‘Cross,, so ‘Khelpants Khach’ means ‘the Khalapiants’ Chapel.’
