The two-storey stone building of the school, which had 4 large classrooms on the 2nd floor, was built in 1868.

1896 y․

After a 40-year activity, St. Sahak School again closed in 1896 on a Government order. By 1899, the building had almost completely fallen out of use so that it could not be even repaired. With that regard a record states, “In the north of the vestibule, the lonely, dilapidated building of the former parish school stood, abandoned and totally unfit for any activity... .”

On 14 September 1860, the solemn opening ceremony of the school was held.
